The most successfull and costly lead actress of Bhojpuri cinema Pakhi Hegde has prvoed her acting skill in the roles she has played in the recently released film Daag. She plays on the one had the role of the mother of Nirahua in this film, while on the other hand she is also his young opposite.
Playing the role of the mother of Nirahua was a very challanging one. The lady fights against all the torture she had to face and takes effective revenge. Pakhi herelf agrees that playing a doll no more attracts her and now she wants primarily to do challanging roles.
Critics are comparing her role with the ones played by Madhuri Dixit in Mrityudand and Meenakshi Sheshadri in Damini.
