For one, she won the crown way back in 1984, when the participation criterion in a Miss India contest was different. And when the Indian beauty contest was yet to touch its pinnacle at the world level. But, she was one of the earliest beauty queens to have made her way to Bollywood. Since the time she won the contest, a lot has changed. The minimum height criterion for one has increased. This petite beauty, with oh-so innocent face, has had an endearing affect on the film going masses in this country. Her fan club is enough indication of her popularity over two decades after she own the crown. It’s commendable because she did not rest on her laurels, but went on to reinvent and make a name as one of the finest Indian actresses. The list of influential Miss India crown winners would remain incomplete with out a mention of Juhi Chawla.
