Shruti Hassan’s career may be going great guns but she is not the one to take things for granted and is constantly adding new skills to her repertoire. She is currently taking Kuchipudi lessons for a film. Kuchipudi is a classical dance form that originated in Andhra Pradesh. The lessons are intense and Shruti is finding the going tough but she is persevering.
Her father, Kamal Hassan is famous for his flawless Bharatanatyam in movies like Salangai Oli. Shruti took Bharatanatyam lessons as a child but discontinued them as she found Western dancing more enjoyable at that time. The actress is regretting her decision because Kuchipudi shares certain common movements with Bharatanatyam.
However, with constant practice, Shruti is positive that she will soon be performing like a pro.
